Hi here’s another Christmas card, which although it was quick to make looks very attractive. As usual the colour scheme can easily be changed, and if you are really short on time you could use a plain coloured card instead of inking the background.

Hand made Christmas card with pink inked background and gold heat embossed stars.

To Make The Card

Start with a white A6 blank card, layer it with pink card and then gold mirror card. Cut another layer, this time from light pink card. I started with pink card instead of white to make it quicker to build up the colour. Ink almost all over with Picked Raspberry, just leaving the centre area uncovered. Ink around the edges with Seedless Preserves working in towards the centre. Finally ink a small border around the edges and corners with Hickory Smoke. Go over it again with Seedless Preserves to make sure all the ink is fully blended and you have created an ombre effect from the centre out. Set the inked card aside to dry or hurry it along with a heat gun.

Stamp the snowflake background in embossing ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder. Adhere the snowflake panel to the front of the card. Stamp the sentiment in embossing ink and again heat emboss with gold embossing powder on a strip of pink card. Add a layer of gold card behind it and adhere to the centre of the card with adhesive foam tape.

I like this card, it’s pretty and a bit different. Another way you could speed up the making process would be to use a gold peel off sentiment instead of stamping and heat embossing. Thank you for visiting, I hope you like it too. All the products used are linked below.
